Membership Eligibility
The National Association of Medical Doctors (NAMD) has three (3) classes of members: Physicians, Residents/Fellows, and Medical Students.The following is the eligibility criteria for the three classes of members:
Physicians
Physicians who have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and reside in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. This class includes physicians in regular practice, military physicians, semi-retired physicians who continue to practice on a reduced schedule, and fully retired physicians who no longer practice medicine. These are practice-status categories within the Physician membership class.
Resident/Fellows
Physicians enrolled in an accredited residency or fellowship program in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Medical Student
Students enrolled in an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school.
