History

The National Association of Medical Doctors was founded in 1974. It was formed for the purpose of bringing together professional doctors interested in creating a medical "society", which is defined as "A group of humans broadly distinguished from other groups by mutual interests, participation in characteristic relationships, shared institutions, and a common culture".

The Society brings together doctors from all fields of inquiry, regions, and specializations both inside and outside academe in order to expand the study and practice of doctors, and offer support, representation, education, and distinction to its members. It serves doctors in all 50 States and across the globe.
