The National Association of Medical Doctors (NAMD) was founded in 1974 for the purpose of bringing together professional doctors interested in creating a medical "society" which is defined as "A group of humans broadly distinguished from other groups by mutual interests, participation in characteristic relationships, shared institutions, and a common culture".

This new Society brings together doctors from all fields of inquiry, regions, and specializations both inside and outside academe in order to expand the study and practice of doctors, and offer support, resources, education, and distinction to its members. The Society serves doctors in all 50 states as well as across the globe.

NAMD represents a community for all doctors voices. We invite registered doctors, international professionals, and new graduates to discover NAMD. Our goal is to advance doctors as a science and profession.
