Americans in Minnesota receive the best healthcare in the country, while Alaskans receive the worst, according to a personal finance ranking.

We compared all 50 states and the District of Columbia across 43 different measures of healthcare cost, accessibility and outcomes. Some measures included average hospital expenses per inpatient day at community hospitals, physicians per capita, maternal mortality rate and heart disease rate.

Here are the top 10 states/regions with the highest overall rank across cost, access and outcomes:
